My shoulders were destroyed after 14 years as a pitcher in amateur baseball. Lower back was injured from taking on way too many clients as a massage therapist. So I had reached a crossroads in my life: either (a) quit and find another job or (b) exhaust all avenues and find a solution. I chose the latter and left Canada to obtain higher education with Jeni in Dallas, TX. Now the pain is gone. The whole trip was enlightening and I cherish all the good memories and great folks I met. I found a new and rewarding career. Now I help change lives every business day at the sports club in the heart of downtown Montreal.

Gary Carter proved that dreams can come true with hard work and perseverance. I met him once at a baseball camp when I was a pitcher for my local district. He was humble, but his energy was infectious. He gave me the courage to try out for the Atlanta Braves. I threw 2 miles per hour slower than the minimum requirement @83mph. Looking back on it now, I'm glad I did it even though I didn't make the cut. Baseball may not be for everyone, but they were some of the best memories of my life.
